The first ever legal vinyl reissue of this holy FREAKBEAT grail from Norway's
underground, originally issued in 1966. Only containing great self-penned tunes, this
energetic album reveals influences from a.o. The Who and Hollies, though with a more
rebellious, uncompromising attitude.
R2LP 4 UNDERTAKERS CIRCUS RAGNAROK LP 02.2016

Here is the first ever vinyl reissue of this legendary album, remastered from the orig.
master tapes and featuring restored artwork and extensive liner notes. This must hear
-album, originally released in 1973, is one of the true gems from the political counter
-culture music underground as it existed in Norway during the era. Polydor probably
signed the horn-heavy 11-piece band to compete with a.o. Blood Swet & tears and
Chicago, but Undertakers Circus had a far more psychedelic and progressive style and
attitude, and even added elements of Afro-beat and funk. Unique stuff!

On vinyl, this is a splendid compilation of the sensational A/B-sides plus rarities
from Norways's mid '60s FREAKBEAT heroes FIREBEATS, INC. The band mainly played raw
originals, but they also recorded a few cover versions, f.i. of Johnny Rivers' 'Secret
Agent Man' (translated to 'Hemmelig Agent') and Neil Sedaka's 'Be My Baby', made famous
by The Ronettes. Side 2 of the LP contains some of the band's self recorded rehearsal
demos. A wonderful release for every fan of energetic '60s sounds!
R2LP 7 DREAM GET DREAMY LP 01.2017

Get Dreamy', The Dream's highly personal and almost exotic take on free rock and
psychedelia, was the first of its kind in Norway. With a mix of jazzy elements,
ballads, hazy sounding pop songs and the occasional whimsical Vaudeville-vibes so
typical of 1967, it's a special slice of vinyl from the era. The sound of this
reissue was remastered from the original tapes. The liner notes were written by
Terje Rypdal afficionado and guitar ace Reine Fiske (Dungen, The Amazing).
