Formed in the mid-Noughties, Kiri Ra! began life when they were commissioned by
The Swedish Film Institute to create soundtracks for archive films. The trio’s
eponymous debut album has been stitched together and finessed from fragments of
improvised free jazz they made during those endeavours - intimate and modest in
its poise, yet nevertheless inventive.
