Debut album from Japanese composer Meitei, channeling '80s and '90s Japanese ambient
music. Haunting and delicate, distant and timeless, 'Komachi' is awash with white
noise, complex field recordings and the hypnotic sounds of flowing water. Though
confidently contemporary, like a bucolic J-Dilla, 'Komachi's lineage can be traced
back to the floating worlds of Ukiyo-e and Gagaku via the prism of '80s Japanese
ambient pioneers, and '90s pastoral sample-based artists such as Susumu Yokota and
Nobukazu Takemura.

MTR 006 KATYA YONDER MULTIPLY INTENTIONS LP 10.2020
(Note : 180g translucent white vinyl LP. Limited edition of 500 copies)
Written & Recorded by Katya Yonder.
Mastered by Brandon Hocura.
Design by Jack Hardwicke.
Photography by Igor Brooke
Katya Yonder is a Russian multi-instrumentalist. 'Multiply Intentions' is her fourth
LPs and follows three albums of instrumental music. However - and here's the twist
- on 'Multiply Intentions' she uses vocals for the first time. Not content with
writing lyrics only in her native Russian, the clever-clogs Yonder sings in English,
French and Japanese here too. She comes from Yekaterinburg, a city on the border
with Kazakhstan, and her sound here blends influences from her home country with
the neighbouring country’s musical traditions. There's also a bit of Madonna, Brian
Eno and Cocteau Twins in the mix too.

MTR 007 LP FLORIAN T M ZEISIG MUSIC FOR PARENTS LP 05.2021
(Note : LP , 300 copies)
MTR 007 CD FLORIAN T M ZEISIG MUSIC FOR PARENTS CD 05.2021
For his third full-length album, German producer and sound designer Florian T M Zeisig
was inspired by extensive research into vibroacoustic sound therapy, which he hoped
to use to treat sleep issues his parents were having. ‘Music For Parents’ creates
calming soundscapes from low-frequency sounds, resulting in ambient work reminiscent
of Brian Eno’s earliest work in the field.
