(Note : forever associated with the so-called "Bosstown Sound" hype, Ultimate Spinach
were in fact one of the more intriguing psychedelic bands to emerge from late
1960s America. This live set was recorded during their residency at one of
Boston's leading music venues in the summer of 1967, shortly before they taped
their debut album. It finds them blending folk-rock, straight pop, and mind
-blowing psychedelia to powerful effect, and is presented complete with
detailed background notes and rare photos. Remastered sound)

KH 9009 IT'S A BEAUTIFUL DAY : LIVE AT THE FILLMORE WEST, 2CD 01.2014
                1 JULY, 1971

(Note : It's A Beautiful Day always had a strong following in San Francisco, and
although this show captures the band toward the end of their heyday, they still
deliver a remarkably strong set that features the best material from their
second and third albums in addition to expansive versions of almost everything
from their classic first LP. In fact, on all counts, it's a staggering show and
one of the very best from the final week of The Fillmore West. Digi. remastered

KH 6067 STONEGROUND : LIVE IN HAIGHT-ASHBURY 1971 CD 10.2015

Having departed folk-rock pioneers The Beau Brummels, in 1969 Sal Valentino joined this
remarkable collective, managed by legendary San Francisco DJ Tom Donahue. Recorded as
part of a benefit for the Haight-Ashbury Free Clinic in March 1971 (just as their
classic debut album was about to hit stores), this superb set was originally broadcast
on KSAN-FM. Capturing the band at the height of their powers, it's presented here
together with background notes and images. A quintessential artifact of the Californian
hippie scene.

KH 9070 CAPTAIN BEEFHEART : FULL MOON-HOT SUN LIVE IN KANSAS CD 09.2015

Following the collapse of the original Magic Band in early 1974, Captain Beefheart
swiftly assembled an all-new line-up to promote his controversial 1974 Unconditionally
Guaranteed LP. Comprising Fuzzy Fuscaldo and Dean Smith (guitar), Del Simmons (sax,
flute), Michael Smotherman (keyboards), Paul Uhrig (bass), and Ty Grimes (drums), they
played in a markedly more straightforward style, in keeping with Beefheart's stated
ambition to "hug the world." This fine gig, live from the Cowtown Ballroom, Kansas
City, MI, was taped for broadcast on KUDL-FM radio on April 22, 1974, and is presented
here in its entirety together with contemporaneous notes and rare photos.

Muddy Waters, Johnny Winter, and James Cotton, live at the Palladium, New York on
March 4th, 1977. Steve Paul of Blue Sky Records, appeared as a savior to both Johnny
Winter and blues giant Muddy Waters, at a time when both musicians were facing hard
times. The result of his investment soon paid off, with the Hard Again tour combining
the respected powerhouse of Waters and Winter joined by James Cotton, culminating in

short-lived, it has provided blues fans a rare opportunity to indulge in the work
of two hugely important musical figures whose respect for each other is evidently
unflinching. Two live albums, Muddy Mississippi Waters Live (1979) and the more recent
Breakin' It Up, Breakin' It Down (2007), have allowed a glimpse of the concerts from
1977-1978. Keyhole presents the entire King Biscuit Flower Hour broadcast of Waters,
Winter, and Cotton, live from New York's Palladium on March 4th 1977, fully remastered
