The confusingly monikered Seasons (pre-din) is a Manchester artist previously working
in the ambient and drone fields. You want it darker? Ok then Seasons (pre-din) have
dialled up the doom on this new album which blends in post punk and dirty underground
club sounds to the mix. Sometimes soothing, sometimes frighteningly abrasive it draws
on a larger palette of sounds to emerge with a more varied work than before.

Swedish multi-instrumentalist Erik Levander joins the Forwind label with his latest
album release Inat (meaning ‘Inwards’). As opposed to the largely synthesiser-based
nature of his previous LP Couesnon, these five new compositions mix both digital and
acoustic instrumentation and use it as a platform for the listener to journey inside
their minds.

Italian sound artist Attilio Novellino commences the second decade of his career by
moving to the Forwind label and releasing Strängar, a carefully created selection of
piano, electronica and electro-acoustic sounds. While Novellino usually works
collaboratively, picking up 2013’s Sonic Arts Award as part of a trio, his solo
compositions, while fewer and farther between, are equally as compelling.

Verbowen, which translates as Interwoven, is the debut album by Martina Claussen.
She is a composer and also works as a Professor of Voice in Vienna, so it comes as
no surprise that this album centres on the sound of her voice. The sounds she makes
are intricately woven with electronics and electro acoustic sounds to create a
thoroughly absorbing listen.
