Atlanta's Pallas make art post-punk akin to many groups that were emerging in the 80's
who leaned towards more abstract, atmospheric and post-modern approaches to their song
writing. Pallas take an interest in rhythms usually not found in western music, the
complexities of 1970's free and avant-jazz and some how stew it down to a primitive
form - building songs more in the vein of pop structure out of these creative ideals.
Singer Danielle Brutto's voice has a ghost-like quality that floats along side
guitarist Zane Dufrees harsh jabs and strange textures. The rhythm section of 19-year
old drummer Decker D'also and bassist Valentina Tapia supply an angular, confident but
always bizarre rhythm and tempo to the groups compositions.

Trash Temple is dogs first full length LP. The Brooklyn trio have long been embedded
in the East Cost Noise/ Noise Rock scene which has included bands such as Guerrilla
Toss, Pucker Up, New England Patriots, Bugs and Fats and many more. dog transforms
sound into science fiction fantasy. Their music is dark - but its not miserable.
They take a grotesque sound and make it ultimately playful and absolutely intriguing.
It is a true challenge to explain their sound simply as it is holy unique. Dogs music
is primitivism at its best - the result of an alien visit to an early human tribe
from the early days of creation.

(Note : 12" , 200 copies)
Faux Ferociou's new 12" takes their interest in post-punk tinged outlaw country and
mixes it with a new found love of Krautrock. It's an EP that has a small tracklisting
that could remind one of something you might have heard by Faust. Lead single
'Big Kahuna" - a short, strange country song is bookended by two very atmospheric,
long-form pieces that are equally psychedelic as they are repetitive and dynamic.

The Channels make music that is heavily informed by the No-Wave and Post No-Wave scenes
that were prevalent in New York during the 80's. The Channels are fronted by Wes Kaplan
on guitar and vocals, Ian Kovac (formerly Guerilla Toss) on bass - the pair don't use
convention to write their songs, but they utilize it to structure them. While the sound
of guitars and basses are completely lost within Kaplan's and Kovac's extremely bizarre
and complex approach to feed back, rhythm and harmonics, drummer Nick Baker insists on
a strict feel and a mechanical repetition that collects every strange and ill fitting
piece together, creating well rounded, albeit extremely bizarre songs.
