Bivalve is a microlabel founded in 2021 by Edward Trethowan and based in Finland.
Its aim is to accumulate and share, in split-release format, a high-quality roster
of material from around the world. The label will release about four tapes each
year with elegant, plastic-free lightweight packaging printed in Finland.

Translated as ‘The Shadow Of The Garden’, ‘L’Ombra Del Giardino’ is another
collaboration between Italian experimental musicians Carlo Giustini and Edoardo
Cammisa (who records as Banished Pills). Composed in the summer of 2020, the
two pieces speak to an escapist mindset, with warm, lengthy soundscapes scattered
with repurposed field recordings evoking summer and open spaces.
