German techno enigma Pom Pom has followed up last year’s mysterious release, Untitled,
with the equally, or perhaps even more mysterious Untitled II. Just like Untitled,
Untitled II comes in a black sleeve and is distinctly lacking in track names, which
takes this inscrutable approach one step further than Spinal Tap and Metallica did,
but this is not for their fans anyway.

name Efdemin. You may remember last year’s experimental techno album, New Atlantis.
It is inspired by Hermann von Helmholtz, who researched sound and rare instruments,
Harry Partch who invented microtonal instruments and composed music for them and
Harry Bertoia who made metal sound sculptures.

his adopted city’s thriving clubbing scene and reputation for electronic music and
the sounds of Lagos, from which he culled a number of field recordings, there’s an
enjoyable non-specific, travelogue ambience to this double-LP.
